Bandwidth

Bandwidth is a measure of the maximum speed at which a server can receive and transmit data. Bandwidth is measured in megabits per second (Mbps) or gigabits per second (Gbps). In analog systems, it is measured in Hertz (Hz). Server bandwidth is always determined by the size of the dedicated port.

Actual throughput is the rate that is actually achieved. The actual throughput will always be less than or equal to the maximum bandwidth.
