Hardware-as-a-Service is a model by which service providers rent out hardware capacity to their clients. The client receives hardware that is fully maintained by the provider. The service provider not only guarantees availability, but also takes care of all issues related to security, technical and service support.
As part of this service, physical servers and data storage systems are usually rented, as well as other specific hardware, if necessary.
Many European service providers within the framework of HaaS service offer their clients hardware on lease, usually with a contract for a period of 3 to 5 years. The client makes monthly payments, and when the project is completed, the hardware becomes its property.
