IPv6

The abbreviation IPv6 stands for “Internet Protocol, version 6”. IPv6 is a standard that was developed back in 1996, but was widely used only at the beginning of the XXI century. IPv6 was developed to replace the fourth version of the protocol IPv4 with a 32-bit form of record and has a wider address space 128 bit (32 characters).

An IPv6 standard address might look like this: 3ffe: 1900: fe21: 4545: 0000: 0000: 0000: 0000: 0000: ffff.

Such a form allows you to get 2128 unique IP addresses, that is about 340 undecillion values. This is a huge reserve for the future, which can provide a personal address for any device that connects to the Internet.
