On-Premise is a model of IT infrastructure organization where companies deploy hardware capacities on their own premises instead of placing them in the cloud.
This model allows businesses to fully control the infrastructure, customize and configure hardware, and scale computing resources in accordance with their specific tasks. At the same time, the On-Premise model requires high costs for organization, technical and service maintenance of the infrastructure.
On-Premise components
- Hardware: physical servers, network equipment and components, storage devices, peripherals.
- Software: operating systems, databases, applications for organizing internal business processes and web services.
The On-Premise model is relevant primarily for companies which business processes place the highest demands on security and organization of data storage. This traditionally includes companies from the financial and banking sectors, government organizations, and large corporations with developed IT infrastructure.
