On-Premise

On-Premise is a model of IT infrastructure organisation where companies deploy hardware capacities on their own premises instead of placing them in the cloud.

This method allows businesses to fully control the infrastructure, set up and configure equipment, and scale computing resources in accordance with their specific tasks. At the same time, the On-Premise model requires high costs for the organisation, maintenance and servicing of the infrastructure.

On-Premise components

  • Hardware – physical servers, network equipment and components, storage devices, peripherals.
  • Software – operating systems, databases, applications for organising internal business processes and web services.

The On-Premise model is relevant primarily for companies whose business processes impose the highest requirements to security and data storage organisation. Such companies traditionally include companies from the financial and banking sectors, government organisations, large corporations with developed IT-infrastructure.
